Chloe's Month!!!

November! WOW..can't believe we'll be starting our second week in November already! Where has the time gone? This year seems to be flying by, faster than usual! We have had a great start to our school year...the boys are doing amazing in school! Keagen made all A's and Kade made half O's (outstanding) and S's (satisfactory), we are so very proud of them! Chloe is doing amazing in school as well, she can write her name almost perfectly, she can count to 30, knows all of her letters and sounds, and can say many Bible verses! And, she's not quite 4 yet ;o)

So, in my last post, it was about P90X, yah, that didn't go as well as I had planned. 90 days doesn't really seem that long, but once you start doing it, it's LONG. I will hopefully get back into it after the first of the year, just like everyone else who makes those "life-long commitments" in January! lol

This is a special month for our family. November is when our angel, princess, diva..whatever name seems to fit her on any particular day, came into our lives!

I never thought that we would have 3 kids, let alone a GIRL! When I found out I was pregnant for a third time, I was in shock, denial, upset, every type of emotion. Just because we had put our house on the market that week, we were moving to Colorado, moving away from a place that I had lived for 23 years..it was hard. Then to find out we were pregnant, was just the icing on the cake! Don't get me wrong! Having a child is the best thing in the world, it was just not on our timing that I was having a hard time with...but of course God's timing is the BEST!

Long story short, we went for our 1st ultrasound, talk about nervous! Kyle's family has no girls..none, nada..so I was SURE that I was having our 3rd boy, I even had a name picked out before our ultrasound...Kelson. But, the utlrasound proved me wrong...it was indeed a girl! Talk about excitement...I couldn't stop smiling, crying...every emotion you can imagine :o)

These past 4 years with Chloe have been life-changing, in the fact that she is NOTHING like the boys, which I was used too, she is VERY emotional, unlike the boys, she LOVES clothes and shoes, which the boys would run around naked if I'd let them. But, she is just like the boys in that they LOVE their momma like crazy..which I wouldn't have it any other way! Chloe has her daddy WRAPPED big time around her little precious finger! Whenever she wants something and I don't want to buy it..lol..I just tell her "ask your daddy" and she does and he gets it..so yes, she is a SPOILED BRAT! And, anyone who asks' her "who's number one"..she immediately answer DADDY! And, when I ask her, "how much does momma love you"..she's say "to the moon and back"..I know..sweet huh? I always tell people, we prayed SO HARD for a girl, I forgot to pray for a sweet, angelic, non-dramatic girl..hahaha!

All of our kids are our pride and joy, we couldn't imagine or have asked for better, well-behaved, loving kids. I thank God everyday for letting us be the parents of Keagen, Kade and Chloe. He gave us these gifts and it's our job to raise them the right way...and to come to know Him, which Keagen and Kade have thankfully already done!!!

So, I want to wish my SWEET, BEAUTIFUL, SMART, FUNNY GIRL...A HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY!!!

ROCK HARD BODY...

So, KJ and I started P90X today! I've been wanting to do P90X for along time, so I'm hoping that I stick to it, I want to be one of those "after" people:) Today's workout went great! I feel great! I've been told that I never finish anything, so I am hoping to prove people wrong!!! I'm hoping to keep track of our progress on here!
So, wish us luck!

If life is a highway..then give me the service road!

So, to explain my title..some days I feel like the world is all passing me by, like on a highway. When you're driving on a highway you are going at a high rate of speed, well that would be me, and you are cruising along, passing the slow drivers, enjoying the "wind in your hair". Then other times, I feel like I'm am on the sidelines (service road) watching everyone else pass by, living their lives being carefree!

I guess being a busy mother to 3 awesome kids, I kinda get lost in all of their activities, household chores, taking care of everything! I look around and it feels like I have missed out on life..but have I really? NO..my life IS my kids, family and the hubby! Would I change it for the world? NO. I love my life, love my hubby, love my kids! Others may pass me by on life's highway, but I'm ok with going slow on the "service road".

Even though some days I wish that the laundry would fold itself, dishes just jump in the dishwasher, bathrooms disinfect themselves, but that will never happen, and I've come to the realization that I guess I don't mind doing all that! That's my job, to make sure my kids and hubby are well taken care of, and our comfortable in their own home! The kids are growing up way to fast, and I just need to enjoy every moment, take it slow on the service road. Why be on the busy highway of life? You become numb to people around you, experiences around you. But on the "service road" you get to enjoy life around you, enjoy the experiences around you!

Summer's End

In two weeks starts the beginning of another school year! WOW, has the summer flown by! We have had a great summer, starting off with Keg's birthday at the end of May, can't believe he's 8! Then, I took the kiddos down to FL so Keg's could go to camp for the week with his cousin T. It is the same camp that we went to growing up then I worked there for 2 summers while in HS. We didn't have it nearly as nice as what Keg's had it! Air conditioned cabins, waterslides, a chapel that actually had walls to it..lol! He had a great time and asked if he could go again next summer!
K and C and I went to the beach almost everyday while Keg's was at camp. It's funny how when you live there you never go, but when you visit..you're there all the time! K loved the ocean..C not so much, she would stand there with her arm floaties on just look at the ocean, if you would try to take the floaties off..oh my! Not happening! My wonderful sis let us invade her home for a week and a half...I'm sure they were thrilled to see us go:) I spent our 9yr anniversary down there...without KJ..he came that weekend. We watched our wedding video..which was nice, since we hadn't seen it! Then we came home for our big 4th of July culd-e-sac party! Those are always fun..we had about 40 people, I think that counted the kids too. We rented a big waterslide again, like we did last year, it was a great day, great weather and great friends!
Then the following weekend, I drove the kids up to NC so they could spend the week with KJ's parents, but while I was there we had a surprise 60th birthday party for dad! It went so well..he was surprised, and the rest of us got a surprise from my grandparents who were there! It was great to see Grandpa Joe, and G & G Waddle! Then, I drove back by myself to GA on that Sunday and left the kids up there...fully suprivised of course! They had the best time...completely spoiled!!
Now we are back to "normalcy"...kiddos go back to school on the 3rd and I return back to work the following week! Amazing how time is flying by! Remember when we were kids and the summers seem to last forever, and we had no worries or cares! Ahhh...ok, snap out of it! Back to reality of doing laundry, feeding kiddos every hour it seems, taking care of the house, endless chores...but I love every minute, even though I may not show it..I wouldn't have life any other way...ok..and occasionally nap will help, but overall...life is grand!

Summertime!!

I can't believe this school year is already done! Where did the year go? Now, I'm not complaining, because that just means I'm done working for the summer, but it's kinda sad because my kids are growing up WAY TOO FAST!! All in all it was a great year, had an awesome class this year, got alot done with the house, and all the kids made it through the school year!

I am so ready for the summer, I have a to do list (in my head) I guess I should write it down, that way I have to do it, especially if KJ sees it:) KJ and I will be celebrating our 9yr anniversary in June, can't believe it's been that long! It seems just like yesterday we were walking down the isle...I guess that's good huh?! We often act like newlyweds, that's what we've been told, and I can honestly say that I love KJ more today than ever! Yes, we've had our ups and downs, like any normal couple, but he is the best thing that has ever happened to me, he makes me a better person, and plus he's the father of our wonderful kiddos!

Speaking of kiddos, I'm going to make up names for them for the blog world. Hmm..I'll have to come up with some creative names like everyone else! I know exactly what I'm calling C..DIVA..I'll have to really think about the other 2!

K celebrated his 8th birthday yesterday! Had a hard time with him turning 8, don't know why, but I did. Maybe because he's not a little kid anymore, not interested in the things Diva and Little Man are, but not old enough for "big boy" stuff either! He's our smarty pants, and asks a million questions a day! I finally told him, "God gave you a certain amount of words to use in a day and you have used them all up!"..hope that doesn't make me a bad parent, but you would understand if you're around him for 5 minutes! He's very inquisitive and wants to know everything, and momma just doesn't have all the answers! :)

Little Man lost his 2nd tooth on K's 8th birthday so that was pretty cool! He was super excited! He goes back to the ENT next week, so we'll see if there has been any changes with his ears, then we'll have to go to a palentologist (sp?) sometime in July, and they will see what we can do to fix his speech....long story, but they think he has a clef palate on the inside of his mouth..wierd I know!

Diva, she's just that! She is growing up super fast, I don't know if that's how it goes with your last child, but she just seems to be growing up faster! She got to have Daddy Date Day yesterday with a friend of ours and his daughter! They went to the lake for 7 hours! She had an awesome time with her daddy! They are the best of friends! Cute little thing she said over the weekend...trust me she says MANY during the day, but this one was really funny! I was putting her hair into pony tails, and I said "come here, let momma put your hair in pony tails," and she said, "Can I ride the pony after you put the tails in?" it was so funny!

Anywho...Just wanted to start my blog up again, if you read it the last time, you know there are many adventures that happen in our crazy life, so stay tuned!

MUCH LOVE,

H.
